Lesson #1

 In order to introduce this Dr. Seuss book in an engaging way, students will be shown the cover of the book and be asked to try and think about what the book is about. Then, students will go to the computer lab and go onto the website http://www.360cities.net/. This website is an interactive world panorama website where you can research any city and explore what it looks like!

Students will be given a worksheet to fill out and be asked to pick 3 cities that are there favourite and answer a chart on why they chose these places. An example of the chart is attached below:

Once students have filled in the chart they will go back to the classroom and discuss their findings as a class! This should make students excited to read the book "Oh The Places You'll Go" and successfully introduced them to some media literacy.
