Lesson #5

Prior to this lesson, the students have research places, read the book "Oh The Places You'll Go" as a class with prompting questions, have written an acrostic poem, and used a Venn Diagram to compare "Oh The Places You'll Go" with "Roster's Off To See The World".

 For the final lesson plan, the students will reflect on the reading as a whole and apply their writing and oral presentation skills. Students will take their research from lesson #1 and pick the #1 place that they want to go. After deciding what place they want to go to, they will be asked to draw a picture of the place and also write a 2-3 sentence paragraph on what place they picked with an explanation as to why they picked that place.  Once the sheet is completed, the students will individually present their reflection sheet to the rest of the class with an overhead projector.
